Move Of Lawrenceburg Administration Offices Will Be Delayed

Although plans were to open for business in the City of Lawrenceburg’s new administrative offices during the first week of March, city officials indicate that the move must be delayed.

City officials had planned that administrative offices would be closed on Monday, March 3 in order to complete the anticipated move to the old SunTrust Bank building on the Lawrenceburg Public Square. City employees have slowly been making the transition, moving files and other items.

The move had been coordinated to occur following the end of the current property tax season, which draws to a close on February 28th.

Once the administrative offices have been moved, plans are to move offices of the Lawrenceburg Police Department into the administrative space, then move offices of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department to the current police department offices.

On Monday officials explained that “unexpected circumstances” (technical difficulties) would require a delay of at least one week.
